Wet Girl is an odd game to define. In the purest sense, it is a first person shooter in where your goal is to moisten up all of an anime stripper’s clothes as she dances in order to see her undergarments. You have a water gun to accomplish this noble goal and must do so before the timer runs out. There is only a limited amount of fluid in it, so you do have to take careful aim to shoot at the pieces of clothes still dry.
Starting off, your water gun will shoot a white fluid whose contents are best not dwelled upon. It will dirty up her clothes, but later on, you will switch to water which will make it transparent instead. You can’t switch between them, the first level will always shoot that white stuff and every level after has water. Both function the same; it is just an odd feature to have included only for the intro.
Your water gun has an arc to it, though you are so close to the dancers it doesn’t really matter. The main difficulty will be using as little fluid as possible and getting her entirely soak quickly in order to get a three-star rating. After a few stages, there will be a new gameplay element introduced in the form of security guards. If they catch you spraying their dancer, it will be an instant game over. They have a giant countdown over their heads to alert you when they will turn around and are hardly a threat.
Each level has a new girl that contains their own unique dance routine with a total of seven of them. You can get through all of them in literally less than five minutes, and the three-star score system is only for achievements as getting a low score will still unlock the next girl. I’d recommend speeding through it your first time as there is a freeplay mode unlocked afterward that lets you see their dances without any other inconveniences.
An important thing to note is that there is a free DLC which unlocks an eighth girl. She doesn’t dance, it is more of an extra mini-game that has you rapidly scroll your mouse back and forth as you use a sex toy on an unwillingly female. It takes quite a bit of shaking your mouse to finish it and funnily enough, lasted nearly as long as the actual main game. Another feature if you choose to download the DLC is that it introduces full frontal nudity to all of the former seven dancers.
At the start of every level, you will get a bit of dialogue from the person paying you to do this. It is uninteresting, but their interactions are so brief it is barely worth mentioning. The dancers themselves all share the same two bits of dialogue that occur every time you spray them. They’ll call you a “bastard” and remind herself that she should stay calm. What sets them apart are their unique dances and appearances, even if some models are reused.
Taking into account that it costs a single dollar, it is hard to be too harsh on it. The gameplay is seriously lacking, but I doubt that is what most people considering getting this title are here for. If that is the case, do be sure to download the free DLC. On the other hand, if you are getting it for yourself or a friend purely for the “lawls”, there are worse ways to spend your money and lose some friends. It also features Steam cloud saving for those occasions when you have places to be and want to retain your hard-earned Wet Girl progress.
