Let’s Look At: Fox Girls Cometh! (R18+)

Fox Girls Cometh is a Tower Defense game centered around protecting your town from a horde of female foxes likely here for your apples. They all look very similar to Holo from Spice & Wolf. Whether that was intentional or not, who knows, but it certainly caught my eye and before I knew it the game was in my cart. As Mr. Pitchford would put it, it was like magic.

It is entirely in Japanese, with the only English being the words Start and Exit in the main menu. This is an extremely simple title, the images that were provided in the help section was more than enough to convey how to play. The entirety of it is that you click on the white text box on the upper right to spawn a cannon and then you place it wherever you choose. Your enemy army of fox girls appears in waves from the upper left of the screen and you must place your cannons in a way to take them down before they reach your gates.

Each cannon costs 500 points to summon, yet you will quickly be able to drown the map in absurd amounts of them. Difficulty is not something this title offers, but it is undeniably hilarious the absurd overkill of firepower you use to fend off some furry waifus. You can also upgrade the fire-rate of the cannons. That costs the same as buying another one, so it is in no way worth it. Especially considering how prone to missing they are and that enemies all go down in one hit. Using an overwhelming barrage of them is the way to go and by the end of it, your humble town will be better defended than Wall Maria from Attack on Titan.

There isn’t any strategy. It doesn’t matter where you place them. In fact, you can cheese it and build them across the road so that the fox girls can’t cross. I wouldn’t waste time perfectly placing them either. Their recoil bounces the cannon back and it will likely not be where you placed them after the first shot. With the amount of cash you get, plopping down a ton of ordinance as quickly as you can is a better use of your time. Let no furry cross these gates, our sanctuary will tolerate no yiffs or fluffs!

Well, I say that, however winning actually has you capture a fox girl and lewding her. She will have her hands tied to a wall and you can choose either the hand icon to grope her, or the sex icon to thrust your pixelated shlong into her. There is a single position and you have the option to coom inside or outside. You can repeat it and spend as much time as you like here. After you had your fill, you can exit and will be immediately thrown back into the main menu.

This right here is why I didn’t feel confident having this be an actual review and will not issue a rating. The store page makes it seem like there is more than one stage, with statements like “There is one H scene per game stage “, yet I could not find a way to play more. From all the pictures in the store, as well as the guide only showcasing the first stage, I don’t know how true that is. There is no documentation I can find for this title online, and the read me file was of no help. Afterward, I did replay it on a second computer with the Japanese language pack installed and set to default to assure it wasn’t a Unicode problem. It was not.

With this title only costing a mere two dollars, it just feels like this was a work-in-progress game that was never completed. It is dead simple in its UI and gameplay. I sincerely doubt I need to enter some kind of Konami code or something to enter the second stage. Knowing that, for this low of a price, it is still a pretty decent investment. It is some good, inoffensive fun to spend a lazy afternoon on. The difficulty is none existent, but the H content brings a good amount of value to your two dollars. It is just groping and a single sexual position, though it is decent in its 3D animation, voice acting, as well as its sound effects. For the price of a bottle of water, it may be something worth considering to those more so into the hentai aspect of it, rather than looking for gameplay.
