Drive Girls making its way to Europe

Originally released exclusively in Japan this January, Drive Girls will finally be brought over to the European region. Drive Girls is what you would get if someone mashed the Senran Kagura series with Transformers.  You will take control of one of five girls to fight off the mechanized insects invading their world. As they battle and drive, they will form bonds via their interactions.

Drive Girls Characters

It is set in a world where it is normal for humans to turn into cars and will feature an extensive single player campaign, alongside local & online multiplayer with up to four other players. The genre of this title is a mix of both driving and hacking & slashing your enemies with devastating combos. You will be able to customize your girls using the currency you will earn after every mission to buy new parts and decals. The tighter you tune them up, the less likely they are to lose their clothing in the heat of battle.

Drive Girls Europe

The developer of Drive Girls is Tamsoft who are most known for their Senran Kagura games. Rising Star Games will be the publishers for their EU release. This is what both companies have to say:

Mr. Natsumi Jimbo, Director at Tamsoft: “We are delighted to partner with Rising Star Games to bring Drive Girls to the wider audience in Europe and beyond. We are thankful to our fans all over the world for their continued passion and interest in our games, and we hope to continue to serve them and create new fans as we embark on exciting future projects”.

Martin Defries, Managing Director of Rising Star Studios: “We’ve been broadening our portfolio of memorable titles from the West in recent years, but Rising Star Games absolutely remains the Home of Japanese games. Partnering with esteemed developer Tamsoft, and the authentically Japanese gameplay and aesthetic of Drive Girls, backs up our ongoing commitment to bring quality Japanese titles to a global audience”.

Drive Girls Car

Drive Girls will be available both physically and digitally for your PS Vita. It is set to release the 26th of May.  For those of us not in Europe,  just a friendly reminder that the Vita is region free and can play cartridges from all over the world. You will find the trailer for the Drive Girls below which will better help you wrap your head around this bizarre concept for a game.
