The latest entry of the highly beloved & awaited RPG series, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, is making its way to the West for both PS4 & Steam (no word on Switch or 3DS) on September 4th.
DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age follows the story of a hunted hero & is another entry into classic long running series by vets & creator Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama, and series composer Koichi Sugiyama. Being the 11th entry, this one like almost all games in the Dragon Quest series has a standalone experience with new diverse characters, detailed world & simple yet entertaining turn-based combat, & let’s not forget the captivating story loved by vets & newcomers to the series. After its original release in Japan, Dragon Quest XI received a fair few awards, PlayStation’s Platinum Prize and a perfect 40/40 score from Famitsu (Japanese publication) so quality is for sure to be had in this latest entry.
In addition to delivering over 100 hours of content, the Western release of DRAGON QUEST XI will also feature several upgrades and enhancements that were not included in the Japanese release, including:
- English Voiceover
- Draconian Quest, a hard mode that offers additional challenges for more experienced players.
- Overhauled Menus & UI, with graphical enhancements and more intuitive navigation.
- Camera Mode, allowing players to take in views of the beautiful landscape, character renders and ferocious monsters in detail.
